Privacy & Transparency

Privacy you can
actually see.

Smart glasses are under the microscope — and they should be. Vizor Lumen is designed to feel trustworthy from day one: for you, and for the people around you.

Privacy you can see.

Visible Recording Indicator

A visible LED turns on whenever the camera is active. It's designed to be noticed — so people around you know what's happening. No hidden capture, no ambiguity.

LED is always visible when recording photos or video
No way to disable the indicator light
Works the same in every environment — indoors and outdoors

Recording is a choice, not a default.

Intentional Capture Only

Nothing is recorded unless you intentionally trigger it — either by tapping the capture button or using a voice command. There is no passive, background, or ambient recording.

Camera activates only on your command (tap or voice)
No always-on background recording
No ambient listening when the AI is not actively triggered

You decide what stays and what goes.

Your Media, Your Control

Photos and videos are stored locally on the glasses (4GB). Transfer them to your phone via Wi-Fi through the companion app. Delete anytime. No cloud sync required.

Media stored locally on-device — not auto-uploaded

Using camera glasses responsibly.

Practical etiquette guidance for wearing Vizor Lumen in everyday situations.

At work or in meetings

Let colleagues know you're wearing camera glasses. Most people appreciate the transparency. If recording, the LED makes it obvious.

In public spaces

The visible recording LED is your best signal. When people see it, they understand what's happening. Use this to your advantage — it builds trust.

Around kids or families

If you're recording family moments, the LED is on. For others' children, ask first — the same courtesy you'd extend with a phone camera.

In sensitive locations

Respect venue policies. Some spaces (hospitals, gyms, restrooms) prohibit any recording. When in doubt, keep the camera off — you still have audio, AI, and calls.

How AI requests are handled

When you ask HeyCyan a question, your voice is sent to the AI model (OpenAI GPT-4o or Doubao) via your paired smartphone's internet connection. The answer comes back to your ear in seconds.

We do not store your voice queries beyond what is needed to process them. Your questions are not used for ad targeting or sold to third parties.
